The Mindless Principle
The more you do something, the better you get at it. It doesn’t matter how intelligent/ dumb you are: you will get better at what you do if you keep doing it over and over again. This is the Mindless Principle.
Though it is linked to your ability to learn, it’s not important - because human beings are naturally inclined to learn anyway. The key is to keep going at it: against all odds.

Your first piece of work will be bullshit. It’s a scary thought, yes. What will people think? Will they like it? Will they laugh? Will they be disappointed?
Yes they will. At best you’ll be faced with indifference; at worst, ridicule.
Are you doomed forever? No you aren’t.
This sort of failure is only temporary - because it takes time: to understand the material you’re dealing with, to find the best way to express it. Also, the audience hasn’t seen what you’re really capable of: and man! You haven’t seen what you’re capable of!
